WHO ARE YOU?

My superpower is being a fighter and not looking like one, what is yours?

Whatever it is, your super power gives you your advantage that no one else in existence can ever be but can only copy. There is nothing wrong with you. The way you are mixed and matched in your personality makes you a beautifully complex being that needs no correction. You are not too much of anything. You are not too quiet or too loud. You are not too outgoing or too reserved. You are not too ambitious or too simple. You are not too idealistic or too pragmatic. You are not too kind or too humble or too aggressive or too forceful. You are a beautifully complex being. Only you know who you are and the best place to look for who you are is on the inside of you- to who you have been created to be.

You have everything in your being that allows you to carry who you are perfectly. Within you is a mix and match of personality that allows you to flourish in your most dominating qualities. Your internal design; your blueprint, allows you to flourish in your quietness, ambition, kindness, outgoingness, and reserved-ness. Whatever it is that you are, you need not be more or less; but only grow into the best version of yourself. Only in and by personal growth should you change. In the same vein, is no need to retain a particular identity because it is who other people have known you to be for so long. Change for as long as you need to, until you find the version of you that gives you the most pride and freedom to be. Allow yourself to reinvent as the need and desire comes, until you are comfortable in who you are. Wear the clothes that you love. Go to places that you want to go to. Do the things that you want to do and do not wait for permission to be or to do.

Embrace all the facets of your being. You can be a doctor and a supermodel. You can be an astrophysicist and a star guitar player. You can be an electrical engineer and a comedian. You can be anything you want to be- or not be, for that matter. Take the cap off what is possible for you. Embrace who you are in all its entirety.

I have embraced that I can be all over the place one time and just want to be by myself all the time, another time. I have fully embraced that I can be confident and still embarrass as easily. I can be sweet and I can fight all the same. I have embraced that I can be sensitive and tender and also be hard and cold. I resisted the fight to be one thing a long time ago and embraced the fact that I am many things. I have embraced being fully artiste and being scientist and for as long as I live, I abandon myself to ease into every new facet of the complex being that I am.

So who am I?

I am a fixer with an eye for seeing things as they could be and not simply as they are. I obsess with wanting to fix people, things and systems. If something is not right, and it bothers me, I want to change it. The possibility of how things could be better makes me giddy with excitement and restless at the same time. It is probably why I often find myself drawn to broken people and environments. There is a tenderness and resolution with which I submit myself to people and environments that I know can be better. The biggest battle being this way is telling what actually will be better.

So this is who I am. Everything else; being talkative or quiet, kind or cold, ambitious or simple, being a doctor or a writer, a daughter, a sister or a friend, is secondary. Any work I will ever do, any place I will ever go is secondary. All these submit to who I am- to who God has created me to be.

What about you, who are you?

Yours truly,

Anna Grace.
